Zak is the Director of Legal Professional at HarperLloyd Recruitment, working closely with Co-Founder and Recruitment Director, Gretta Lloyd, to lead our legal recruitment division across Australia.

‍After practising as a disputes lawyer in both top-tier and national law firms, Zak combined his legal expertise with his passion for building meaningful relationships by transitioning into recruitment. Since then, he has specialised in placing lawyers at all levels across boutique, mid-tier, national, top-tier and international law firms, as well as in-house legal teams and government organisations.

Zak's experience extends beyond agency recruitment, having also worked within the HR and Talent Acquisition team of a global law firm. This unique combination of legal practice, agency recruitment and in-house talent acquisition provides him with a comprehensive understanding of the Australian legal market and the diverse needs of both clients and candidates.

Known for his consultative approach and honest advice, Zak is passionate about helping legal professionals find opportunities that align with their career goals, values and long-term aspirations while partnering with employers to build high-performing legal teams.
